Social Cleansing around the Olympic park

It has come to my attention that there is a disturbing trend around the Olympic park area bounded by the boroughs of Newham / Hackney/ Tower Hamlets / Waltham forest  for The gentrification and social cleansing of the areas.

 

With the possibility of profits to be made Landlords and local authorities alike many of them are clearing areas of social housing granting planning consent by fair means or foul handing them over to development company’s to develop residential property that is to be unaffordable to any of the local population.

 

As the average working income in the areas around the park are of the order of around £15,000 per year at the top of the scale. [No chances of a mortgage.]

 

The home owners in the area are being hit with higher council taxes to pay for the forth coming Olympics. and most are looking to sell and move to conserve there investment as best they can.

This home owner group are also the the immigrant ethnic minorities. They are also  in a great many cases the Islamic population of the city who are being forced into a position of paying for their own social cleansing.

 

Put the council tax up force the poverty classes to to move out let the property developers buy at the lowest price and reap the profits from the games.[ T hats free market economy for you ] While the Locals  move to other areas of the city that are not so prone to the council tax rise and property prices are lower in relation ship to those of the Olympic area due to the development inflation.   

Then make  the council tax payers of London pay for the loss the games will make through their council tax. Great labour tactics, real socialism of the Stalinist kind clothed as capitalist democracy

 

When you look at the personal fife domes of the local mayors in the design for local authorities introduced by new Labour , where the local councillors who where elected to represent the community  only get to take the flack when  meeting with there local communities at the regular community forums.  Here their only duty is to preach the party line and consult. Not to act upon the will of the people or act as a spokes person for the will of the people as it was in my understanding of democracy. [ but then I am old all of 55 years ]  There is none of that any longer as an active aspect of government under  New Labour. The local elected representatives don’t get a say in what is going on.

 

ITS ALL DOWN TO THEW MAYORES CABINET A QUANGO OF HIS CHUMS AND BUDDIES WHO HAVE THEIR OWN AGENDA FOR THE AREA POWERED BY THEIR ALEGANCY TO THE CENTRAL CABINET

 

Take the example of my own borough where the Outlaw Jose Wales acts like a robber baron carrying the edicts of the reincarnation of Charles the first aka Tony Blair who is about to remove the right of Parliament to have any discussion or decision in the process of law by what he refers to as Legislative and Regulatory reform. Well we know what the out come of that was I wonder who will end up being the  be the reincarnation of the Lord protector this time.
