THE PERFECT SOLAR STORM

Sounded great to me the electricity gets wiped out for a year or two technology goes tits up and halfe the world population gets wip=ed out in the developed world andd those living in high rtise citys cant think of any thing better my self if we have to go I would rather it was that way than the undeveloped third world at least that way the plant would have a chance of a better life.

 As i sat watching my name sake on the show. He was the  hero of the hour for turning off the Brocklyn power station and saving the it from burn out in the solar storm while the rest of New York watched the dazzling display of the northern  lights covering the dark side of the earth.

 I could not help but think this would not be happening if they had local solar power and local hydro generation and wind mills or at least it would not be such a big disaster all buildings being self sufficient in energy all of which is possible to day all be it not suitable for a command  economy driven and controlled from the centre?

 Anarchy small and local is the only way forward if we want to survive……………………………

So I am looking forward to the next solar storm due in 2011 I will be 60 and hope to be living rurally in a self sufficient and sustainable way some where on the planets surface so I can be there when the refugees come streaming out from the city’s after the biggest light show the world has ever known and the 2012 Olympics have been cancelled
